Hello there!
My name is Brenna Rodriguez
For as long as I can remember I’ve been taking pictures. I know it sounds cliche, but hey, it’s true. I’ve gone through so many stages (and so many cameras) from tiny digital compacts, or my parents old film cameras, to where I am now. I’m a self-taught digital and film natural light photographer. I believe that in life we are always learning. Every day, every experience is a chance to grow and learn. Throughout my many years of taking photos I’ve found that growing up in the Caribbean has molded the base of what I look for in my photos. I grew up outside under the bright Caribbean sun; climbing trees for guineps, eating way too many patties, constantly being mesmerized by the many shades of blue of our beautiful waters, and always looking for the “pretty” in everything. My eye is always drawn to a bright, clean, vibrant aesthetic, which is more than often portrayed in my photos. I’m very much detail oriented and still love to add that “pretty” in everything that I can.
I love photos. As someone who can’t remember what I had for lunch, I love capturing memories that can live on forever through photos. That’s also why I feel my photography approach appeals to something much more natural than staged. I’ve always loved sitting and looking through old albums. You know the sort, the not-so-perfect yet oh-so-perfect old family photos. Those are what move my heart and give me goosebumps, the real stuff. Because of that I choose to shoot both film and digital. Of course everyone has their preference and I’d love to work with you to create the ideal look for your special occasion. I love to hear stories and create photos that convey the same feelings as soon as you see them. Whether it’s your toddler’s smash cake, your wedding, a newborn session, or merely some beautiful portraits, whatever the occasion feel free to contact me and let’s discuss what you’re looking for!
If you’re still reading, you’re amazing!
